Islander Resort

Beautiful setting, great rooms and great staff. The maintenance staff was very accommodating in particular Jason, Ernesto and Shahin when they "bailed us out" when our room safe locked us out. The only improvement needed would be the young lady Janesse at the front desk who at times communicated in a somewhat unpleasant tone. But other than that, a close to perfect experience.

Great rooms and staff. For a three star hotel, why are they charging five star prices? I will be staying at the Cheeca Lodge, a four star hotel, this summer since The Islander is more expensive! I dont get it, they are way off base now when compared to their competitors. Used to be our go to place, but now we are moving on.

4 nights in March 2024. The place is very nice, on the water's edge. The rooms are pleasant, large, well equipped, a little dated. The resort is nice, the snack bar/bar a little expensive but practical. The swimming pools and spa are very pleasant and clean. The resort lends bicycles. There are beach volleyball courts, a basketball hoop, football goals, paddle, kayak....All loaned by the hotel. Our favorite places to eat nearby: midway caf for breakfast and the beach caf for a great dinner on the beach with a sunset
