PNC Bank

This has got to be the worst bank in the country not only do they want to charge you $7 service fee no matter how much money you put in and less you have it direct deposited. If that's not bad enough they're online banking app is the worst possible app ever crashes every other time you use it. Then when you make a dispute you got to go through all this stupidity of trying to find people who speak English because of course they send you information overseas. But then you get somebody on the other line with a complete all out of attitude as I got 3:00 this afternoon. If you want an honest opinion find another bank

Took advantage of 85 yr old senior woman. PNC is my Mother's primary bank. She asks me to help her find an account that pays better interest with no risk and I do with CIT, paying 4.85%. She reaches a transfer limit set by PNC when moving funds to the new savings account. Fine, call and see if you can write a check for the whole amount. My mother doesnt like the phone, she insists to have to face to face conversations to do anything. My SIL takes my Mom to the bank Do you need me to come in? No, Im just going to ask them to remove the transfer limit. Here is the shocker. A banker named Ashley sets mom up with 2 CDs paying a measly 5% interest, only 0.15% better than a savings with no restrictions. Ashley has locked up over 90% of my Mothers money in CDs. My Mom gets confused, she cant drive, she easily influenced, she is the person who thinks the ads on tv are actually giving away free stuff and is upset a month later when she gets a huge charge because she has a subscription. Yes, Im angry with the SIL for letting Mom walk into a bank alone but also furious with PNC for not having guidelines to restrict workers like Ashley from putting the banks priorities over a 85yr old womans priorities. My Mom is on a fixed income, the high yield savings account was going to allow her to draw out part of the interest monthly for spending flexibility. Her health is so fragile she is literally an accident away from needing to be in assisted living. Shell have to break the CDs, PNC wont care they get to collect penalties, Mom wont see a single benefit out the CD if she breaks it. Im disgusted with PNC and here is the kicker. The next day, my Mom knew she messed up and a few days later when we spoke it was first thing she said and she called the bank after speaking to me and of course, Ashly informed her it was $700 fee if she had to break a CD.

I have been a PNC banking customer for 15 years, and I have to tell the world, they are an Awesome bank and I have banked with them all!!!!!!! Thank you PNC for coming to Inverness finally and being a totally awesome bank!!! Cheers!
