Holiday Inn Ft. Lauderdale-Airport, an IHG Hotel

The first room we had the bed was heaven on earth. Now whe we feturned from our cruze room 318 I felt the springs in my back and my wife's feet soxs durty from the carpet walking from the chair to the door and back. Rooms: My first room 518 was amazing the bed was like my expensive bed from home. My 2nd room 318 was polar oppsite feel the springs in the bed abd dirty carpets. Food & drinks: The breakfast was okay Noteworthy details: The pool area was amazing and our cruze had us back to them on sunday by 9am. They stoed our luggage in a secure room. They accomidated us being so early for check in and allowed us to cjeck in at 11am when they jad a clean room. They make hourly trips to the airport.

The little hood manager wanna be was completely disrespectful to my crew cussing and making threats , in my opinion he was very unprofessional. Everyone else was amazing and nice . But I would recommend any of the other IHG hotels in the area, I am a platinum elite and never had an issue like this.

We stayed at this hotel for one night because we arrived late at night from Europe and were flying to the Bahamas the next day. The location at the airport is very good for something like this. The hotel offers a free airport shuttle. The breakfast was simple, but at least there was some, which is a rarity for the USA. Unfortunately there was only disposable cutlery made of paper plates and plastic cutlery at breakfast. The waste production is enormous. Our room was fine for one night.

I booked this place using IHG reward points. When we arrived to our room all the cabinets and drawers were open in our room. We thought it was strange but got settled in and left to grab food. Once we came back, we saw roaches crawling across the kitchen counter! It all made sense why everything was open, they must of just fumigated and STILL CHECKED US IN TO THE ROOM! They moved us to another room but at that point I was more worried about if roaches had made their way into our luggage! Called IHG who refused to do anything because we still technically used our reservation even with pictures of the roaches and all. The lobby and pool area was beautiful. Definitely didnt expect there to be roaches. The IHG customer service was awful and they treated me like it wasnt a big deal. I would avoid this place and IHG.
