At first I was a little frustrated due to the crazy early morning that I totally out of my control....and I thought my day wasn't too get any better but ms. Carleen ... front desk..... really went out and beyond her way to help me and my best friend on our visit to South Florida. I stayed here in the past and I can't say that but that's the management or but as agents for the best but she really put a smile on my face and almost tears to my eyes and I would like to thank her for her customer service that morning....its the little things that people can do when they c ur having a rough day.... awesome customer service...... management as well Alejandro

Definitely should be called Western because its far from the Best. Is it the worst place Ive stayed? No. But these rooms arent worth over $100/night. While the staff seemed pleasant, theyre not very helpful. We spent a lot of time calling to ask for the basicstowels, soap, blankets, toilet paper. We were told on the phone and in person theyd send stuff. It took two days to actually get it. Le sigh. Then, they ration out the toilet paper. One roll for three adults? What crime did we commit besides paying $200 a night for a mediocre hotel. Everything people said about the elevators is true. The one says its on the 7th floor regardless of where you are. Then, it takes forever for the doors to open once youre on the first floor. So if youre claustrophobic, take the stairs. Weed smell on the second floorYUP. Highway noiseYUP. The windows are thin. But if you like to sleep with white noise, this place is your jam. They have a 24-hour laundry roomSURPRISE, it was out of service. The gym is quite janky and the machines need to be serviced unless you like to put your life on the line when you work out. The pool has a nice view, however it definitely needs to be cleaned and repaired. Pretty sure I got a rash from just looking at it. They had one towel outfor the birds to use as bathroom because there was poop all over it. Pretty sure we booked a room with a sleep sofa, but they told us they had no rooms with sleep sofas, nor did they have rollaway beds. If you like microwaves and mini fridges, they did have those in the room. Praise tha lawd, we didnt have ants/roaches/bedbugs. PRO TIP - Pass on that places to eat paper. Just search yelp or something because some of the info is wrong. I will say that the Dennys next door is solid and the staff in there is great. Also, you can make your own waffle at breakfast. That was a highlight, I guess. Maybe thats why they charge so muchto cover the waffle maker. And they dont have a shuttle. The Lyft ride from Fort Lauderdale airport wasnt much. They will give you cards for taxi services. Theres a sign in the lobby for a shuttle company if youre going to the port of Miami for cruises. Not sure how much. But for one of the other shuttles that they referred, it cost $100 for four to five people. Rooms: Very basic. Dont expect much. Also, they told us they didnt have housekeeping. But housekeeping showed up around 1:30/2:00 p.m. and expected to make our beds. We just told them to clean the bathroom because we were about to take naps by that time. If they show up, ask for everything you need then because you might never get it. Oh. We couldnt get towels at one point because they didnt have clean ones and had to wash them. What?!? Safety: I didnt feel unsafe here and the hotel seemed pretty quiet. Walkability: The area is walkable. To get to the plaza with Ross and the other stores, its about a 15-minute walk. Theres not a lot else around but stuff doesnt seem far if you Lyft/Uber and rates are pretty cheap. Food & drinks: Breakfast isnt bad. They claim you can order food. Not sure how or when youd ever get it.
