I am extremly happy with Sprout Behavioral Services and their therapists. They are extremly professional and have great skills. Our therapist and BCBA are the best and due to her relentless efforts, we are seeing a great amount of improvement in our son. When we went for his yearly doctor visit, she was extremly impressed with the change and was very optimistic about him getting close to normal. I highly recommend Sprout Behavioral Services.

My son used Sprout behavioral services for almost 3 months 21-22. I had a great experience with the BCBA Lena and the BCABA Valerie. My son really liked them and they were very play and relationship based . Lena is one of a kind and I have never met another BCBA like her . Her main support and goals were in helping my son self advocate for himself and assert his needs. Thats not really seen ABA. Other BCBAs in other companies try to make the child do behaviors that are contrary to whom they are which can cause trauma. I appreciate Lenas loving support. She would even do sessions when the RBT was sick . Thats also not seen in other BCBAs. Lena would get into the trampoline and play with my son at the gym. She was also excellent at parent training and regularly scheduled it to support my son and myself. Parent component was equally important to her. Why 2 stars ? Because the director and the center may inadvertently be hurting children. The director really pushed the center for my son although she didnt really know him . She said we have more control at the center . The center is really pushed. However, my son is now thriving at an amazing Reggio inspired preschool. Had I listened to her , he wouldnt have reached his potential. I also dont like that the center doesnt have a playground and sensory room. The rooms are small without windows and the kids spend hours there. It seemed Inhumane and wrong . That would never be accepted at a daycare for typical children. By law, the kids need to have outdoor space in daycares. Yet in an ABA center where kids can spend up to 40 hours a week, the kids dont go outside. Theres so much research on the importance of nature for children, especially autistic children. To support a child with behaviors and not allow them to be outside doesnt make sense. If they had outdoor time, movement , areas to meet their sensory needs, ABA may not even be needed for them. When I explained my concerns she said the kids can walk back and fourth in the hallway. Autistic children deserve better and deserve to be understood rather than just changed. Rather than just focusing on reducing challenging behaviors and producing the behaviors they want, a focus should also be about understanding neurodiversity and meeting their needs. Thankfully we did at home services. He tried the center and it broke My heart when I observed the small space and how he felt. I also didnt like how the director switched his RBT after my son had established a great relationship with his RBT and it had Only been a month. It seems the social and emotional component doesnt matter . The humanity of the children. It was explained to me that its a standard practice so kids can generalize behaviors. It wasn't because of RBT leaving, then I would understand. Relationships matter and we wouldnt do that to a typical child or an adult. Imagine changing counselors every month as an adult. I recommend the book, Beyond Behaviors and listening to autistic voices. Its extremely important that the voices of those we are helping are represented and taken into account when proving support. We can run the risk of trauma when its not there. I also recommend a different center location. One with a backyard, sensory room, and windows . Collaboration with OT and Speech and be open to providing ABA at schools. Create the space and support using Autistic voices .
