I stayed there for 8 days, very close to everything and the place was cozy. Rooms: It had a very complete small kitchen and I was able to cook in the room. I was surprised by that because no hotel I have visited has that option and I was able to bring my own food and prepare it. It has a refrigerator, stove, dishwasher, and microwave.

The front desk attendant Samantha was very nice and very helpful. She made us feel very welcomed to the place. The room was ok. However there are some damages that management needs to have someone repair. The bathroom door couldnt close properly. Was a bit off the hinge and not aligned. The bottom of the stove was coming off and if you are not paying attention you could hit your foot on that metal piece which could lead to possible injury.

Just gross. My room wreaks of mildew. The lights above the desk are flickering. There are stains all over the couch in my room (see photos). Breakfast only goes from 6:30-9am so it definitely ends earlier than most and I wasnt even able to catch breakfast. The gym is pathetic, so small. Theres no cold water dispenser in the gym either (this is where I usually go to fill my water bottles up.) I also was given only 2 mini water bottles in my room as well as 0 water bottles at check in. Definitely no easy access to water here and I hate feeling dehydrated when I travel. There are two buildings and the gym, breakfast, and front desk are in one of the two. Carpet treads on the stairs are peeling off and covered in stains. Staff is friendly, yes, but this place is an old dump and needs torn down. I just feel dirty staying here.

Regrettably, my recent experience at the Marriott TownePlace Suites in Miami Lakes left much to be desired, as numerous issues marred what was meant to be a relaxing getaway. Where do I begin? From the moment I stepped into the hotel's soggy hallway, assaulted by the putrid stench of what can only be described as rotten milk, I knew this stay would be far from pleasant. The outdated rooms were a testament to neglect, with a litany of maintenance problems plaguing every corner. The bathroom door refused to lock, the fan wheezed its last breath, and the broken hair dryer was a cruel joke. Oh, and let's not forget the delightful surprise of a dirty towel awaiting me. The cleanliness of the room was abysmal, with carpets and floors resembling a frat house after a wild party, and cabinets exuding a foul odor that made me question if they'd ever been cleaned. And don't even get me started on the oven that couldn't close properly, leaving me to wonder if I'd be dining on half-cooked meals. The lack of kitchenware was laughable, as was the sorry state of the comforter and pillows, stained and limp as if they'd been salvaged from a landfill. But wait, it gets betteror should I say worse? The windows, those supposed portals to fresh air, were stubbornly immovable, denying me even the faintest whisper of a breeze. And as for the housekeeping, their idea of service seemed to entail nothing more than a half-hearted attempt at bed-making and towel replacement, with sheets apparently being an optional extra. The breakfast offerings were an insult to the concept of morning sustenance, featuring unpalatable powdered eggs and a sad lack of variety, as well as a flying coconut that almost hit me in the head one morning, that left me questioning why I bothered rolling out of bed. And as if the culinary nightmare weren't enough, my hopes for a decent cup of coffee were dashed by the sight of someone swiping all the chocolate milk like a scavenger in the desert. As if the hotel itself weren't disappointing enough, the amenities proved equally lackluster. The gym resembled a broom closet with a few sad pieces of equipment thrown in as an afterthought, and the unguarded pool felt more like a liability than a leisure option. And let's not forget the mysteriously "broken" washing machines, conveniently out of order when I needed them most. Oh, and did I mention that breakfast closed at an ungodly hour, robbing me of even the chance to drown my sorrows in a cup of lukewarm coffee? I'd love to say that there was a glimmer of redemption in this sea of disappointment, but alas, the positives were as scarce as a diamond in a landfill. The sink grinder worked well, a small mercy in an otherwise wretched experience. The bed, while not quite the cloud-like oasis I'd hoped for, provided a modicum of comfort amidst the chaos. And to give credit where it's due, the customer service representatives were pleasant enough, though their smiles did little to mask the pervasive air of neglect that hung over the entire establishment. In conclusion, my stay at the Marriott TownePlace Suites in Miami Lakes was nothing short of a disaster. From the foul odors to the lackluster amenities, every aspect of this hotel fell short of even the most basic standards of hospitality. If you're considering booking a stay here, my advice would be to rundon't walkin the opposite direction.
