Where to start. As per our conversation on the phone this morning, we were in agreement that you had understood why there was a lapse in coverage. Your policy was non renewed effective 3/31/19, for failure to comply with underwriting requirements. It was requested by your insurance carrier that YOU provide proof of repairs for the damage caused from your claim filed in June 2017. Failure to provide such documents, led to non renewal at the time of expiration. However, a cancellation letter was generated in March and mailed to your address via USPS for nonpayment of premium. When you made your payment for the renewal term of 2018-19, you paid $27.00 less than the total annual premium. Because the cancellation date for non payment, precedes the non renewal date by 9 days, there was a lapse in coverage. All correspondence, via email and USPS mail, were successfully sent to your inbox and property address. Per our confirmation records, the emails were received and read from your inbox. All mandatory protocols were followed when attempting to resolve your predicament. There was nothing else that we could have done to help rectify this issue. At what point does the policy holder take responsibility for their inaction? I regret sincerely that this matter happened to begin with, however, we diligently responded to all carrier requests and followed up with you as required.
