After suffering In pain and discomfort for this long I've finally come to write this review. I had a crown redone after the first one fell off, the Dr said everything would be fine. I have a huge gap between my crown and tooth where food constantly gets jammed and creates gum pain with discomfort after she placed the crown. Why couldn't the Dr tell me that this would be a probability before selling me the procedure? It's a money grab. I came in shortly after coming in for that complaint to show that there was a small hole in my crown which couldn't have been caused by me in such a short time period but the blame was shifted to me and the Dentists tried to say it was me grinding my teeth. There are no signs of tooth grinding in my mouth and I know I don't do it. They wanted to charge me to completely redo my crown. This office also charged me for x rays which they never took and couldn't find in their files .

The horrible dental experience. It happens I had two teeth filled, and they ended up refilling both of them for their unprofessional practice and mistakes. Five visits each 2 hrs still no compensation or refund on their shortages and time wasted on my side. I still feel too much sensitivity in one of them after filling, they suggested root canal even though it was completely unnecessary for the amount of the cavity, and I refused to do that. I regret I chose to go to the faculty practice dentist in the first place.

Dr. Sherif Hosney is the best dentist I have ever had in my 60 years. Ive lived in MA, NY, VA & CT & Dr Hosney at UF is bar none the best! If novocaine is necessary, I feel no pain when he administers it. I mean none! He is professional & incredibly thorough & thoughtful. He really listens, does the research & then presents all of the options available. I highly recommend Dr. Hosney.

Avoid the clinic, if at all possible, especially as a student. For a clinic run by the #1 university in Florida, I'm disappointed that this office cannot even function on a basic level.
I had an appointment scheduled with a dentist two days after a cleaning to fill my cavity and then get an impression for a retainer, only to arrive to my appointment and find out that my dentist cancelled my appointment for no apparent reason, with no heads up, phone call, or email. In what world does this happen?? I didn't even know dentists could do that, and it's extremely unprofessional!!
As many reviewers have said, this office is nothing more than a money grab scheme by the University of Florida, with poor service at best. The office looks like it never left the 1970s and the faculty are simply incompetent and have no bedside manner. They set me up for what I thought was four bitewing x-rays only for me to find out a week later that they really took a full set and then proceeded to charge me full price since insurance didn't cover it. Then when I asked about the charge, they said "it's the patient's responsibility to know what procedures are covered and which ones are not" when they did a full set without my consent.
I spend three months trying to call and schedule an appointment, and NO ONE ever picks up. I have been to the office, and it is NOT busy - the administrative staff is not doing their job. They do not return voicemails. If you do call, dial 7 at the switchboard and keep calling because they eventually will pick up.
All in all, avoid this office at all costs and go to a private office.
