        I was with Direct for 14 years. I have never had an accident or needed to file a claim for any reason. I've never gotten a ticket. Not once was I ever offered a loyalty or safe driver discount. My premium only got higher over the years despite no changes to my policy. In the end, I walked away and went to State Farm. I got auto and renters insurance for $40 less monthly than Direct General, with much more coverage and perks.
