        Lack of communication from hr. A friend moved in with me for a job he was offered. After his interview he was given a start date. He called her 5 days before starting to confirm the start date after not hearing back from the background check. Confirmed that he would indeed start on the specified day. He packed his stuff and moved from 3 hours away to stay with me. He arrived there at 5 am to be informed they aren't hiring him and found out 3 days ago. Apparently informing someone they aren't being hired was the last thing on the hr ladies mind and instead she looked at him like he was stupid when he arrived. She found out days before he packed his stuff and moved that he wouldn't be hired. I find her lack of communication highly unprofessional in this matter and maybe it's a blessing in surprise that he didn't get hired on by such an unprofessional management team.
