I boarded my gelding at Two Point Farms from Apr- Dec. When we toured the barn, we asked Michelle if she would be able to care for our aging gelding. She happily told us that she could, as she used to be a vet tech for Dr. Bryant. The first couple months were good and the care was what I expected for the price. In Oct, the horse I was leasing from a boarder choked. When I arrived, the horse was standing in the back of his stall, alone, choking. I massaged his neck until his owners arrived, only then did Michelle drive through the barn, stopping at the stall door to make a snarky comment about the horse choking because the owners switched him to beet pulp, not mentioning the heaping bucket of half dry beet pulp in the stall. She then hid in the feed room for the remainder of the evening. She went home to have dinner before the emergency vet arrived. Between Aug- Dec, the care of my gelding completely fell off. I regularly brought out more of his daily meds, to find that there was the same amount of pills as I left 3-4 days prior. Anytime I showed up, Michelle or Ginny would come running over with a bag of hay for him, no one else, just him. This only furthered my suspicions that if they dont physically see me come to the barn, my horse isnt cared for. He had bed sores on all 4 legs (both front fetlocks and both hocks) from sleeping on mats because there was never more than a dusting of shavings, not enough to soak up urine, let alone provide any cushion. I asked if I could purchase my own 8-10 bags of shavings to bulk up his stall and from there, they could maintain it at that level. Michelle agreed. My shavings were delivered on Dec 1st, over the next 5 days, no shavings were added to the stall and by the end of those 5 days, he was back on mats. On Nov 20, Michelle texted me to ask if my horse could be turned out in the arena as his paddock was wet. I agreed. For the next 2.5 weeks, my horse was only turned out in the arena and missed multiple days of turnout with no word from Michelle. Apparently, my horses paddock was turned over to one of the favorite clients to be used as a hospital paddock and my horses new turnout (if any) was the arena. My horse was supposed to be turned out in his fly sheet/mask and boots. Once again, Michelle told us before moving in that thats standard. Dozens of times, I was sent photos by other clients showing my horse outside completely naked. Every time, Michelle & Ginny would apologize and insist it wouldnt happen again. Only for it to immediately go back to the same. Multiple times, Michelle asked me questions like What is the Coggins vaccine for?, What is Cushings? Is that what he takes Prascend for?. During summer, my horse stopped sweating. No one noticed until I arrived and saw him blowing in his stall. I asked if he was sweaty when he came in. She asked her bf, whom had brought him in. The bf proudly replied that he was hot but not sweaty at all. Neither realized that not sweating during a week long heat advisory was NOT a good thing. Michelle regularly walks the property in pajamas, barefoot and nearly always has an alcoholic drink in hand, even while giving lessons to kids. Lesson students are consistently seen riding in ill fitting helmets, poorly fitting tack, even stirrups without stirrup pads. Horses are left alone all day on days that the barn goes to shows, so if a horse were to colic etc. no one would know for hours, if they noticed at all. Horses are not turned out the day following a show as everyone is too tired from the show. Any criticism of the facility is met with extreme hostility, including legal threats from Michelle if I share my experience at TPF. I would not recommend this facility or Michelle Tiffany to my worst enemy.
