Dr. Heitman & his team are exceptional! The CVICU staff are talented & incredibly caring. Phenomenal medical care & kind beyond belief. The Coordinator actual visits patients daily for input about the care they are receiving! We selected this team over Mayo Clinic. Highly recommend.

Dr. Malias was thorough, clearly knowledgeable and informative. Now understand why he is considered one of the best in his field!!!

I developed sudden unstable angina and my great cardiologist, Dr. Prasad expected that given my healthy previous history of exercise and diet that I would be fine after receiving stents during an emergency cardiac cath. Instead, Dr. Chalasani found 5 blocked vessels ranging from 70-100% blocked that could only be fixed by bypass surgery and that it needed to be done a ASAP to avoid a heart attack. This meant meeting and choosing a cardiac surgeon immediately. Dr. Chalasani recommended Dr. William Heitman saying he has great confidence in him. As I am a retired physician, I am quite particular about the doctors I choose. Once I met Dr. Heitman, I immediately felt great confidence in him. I had emergency quadruple bypass within a day. Although the first few days were rough due to the actual surgery, Dr. Heitman was not only technically excellent but also compassionate and a good listener. I am now two weeks post bypass and doing amazingly well. I highly recommend him!

Doctors were tremendous, they were caring, concerned, and very clear on all details of what was to happen, hD the procedure and was al.ost back to normal ,al.ost as soon as I woke up.. Thank you all.
