Great organization to volunteer with. There's lots of postions to choose from emergency deployment, sewing stockings for the Armed Forces and assisting with smoke detector checks and installation. FYI NO AGE REQUIREMENT!!!

I would give a negative 5 star if it was available. My elderly mother, disabled husband and I lived in Indian Creek.. Fort Myers Beach, FL. Hurricane Ian destroyed our home and Red Cross said that we had minimal damage however per their website anything over 18 surge water is considered major damage . We had 7.5 FEET of water in our home. They denied us and pretty much said their people work as volunteers and nothing could be done for us. We lost everything we had literally everything but our lives and even though the amount they were giving out was around $3k that money would have been a major relief for us.

Just wanted to say thank you to the Red Cross. The beef stew was the best food Ive had in days. Also thanks to driver of Red Cross truck on Ft Myers beach he was great.
