Dr. Schochet is an exceptional doctor that really cares about all of his patients. I have been a long-time patient and can't recommend him enough. In addition, the office staff treats all patients like family and helps you navigate insurance issues, etc. I kept postponing my colonoscopy because I was so anxious about the procedure. I finally gave in and when I was wheeled into the room, Dr. Schochet immediately reassured me. After the experience, I was annoyed at myself that I didn't do it sooner. This practice is a gem in South Florida!

I felt like I was having heart attacks, turned out to be my gallbladder. I first ended up at Jackson South where I waited for a day in the waiting room because they were so over flown. JennyLynn the medical director for Dr Schochet reached out to me and informed me that Dr Schochet takes care of gallbladders (or like she likes to say butts and guts). So I left Jackson and the next morning went straight to Holy Cross across from their office. The level of care by JennyLynn and Dr Schochet was a complete 180 from what I had experienced the day before. That same day he removed my gallbladder. He was warm and caring and made me feel safe, just an incredible not only Dr but human being. I wasnt just another object in a factory line, they were with me every step of the way from check in to the day I was discharged. If I could give them a higher rating I would. My healing process was easy and he did an excellent job. If ever needed they will definitely be my go to team. THANK YOU!!!!!

Good luck if you are trying to make an appointment with any of the Doctors at this practice. I have been calling, leaving messages and emails for a week and nobody has responded. Not the kind of service you are expecting from a reputable Doctors office.

I've been going to Dr. Schochet for many years. He's extremely nice, takes the time to explain everything thoroughly. and makes sure all your questions are answered clearly. Of all the specialists I see, he is the nicest. You will leave his office knowing that you've been well cared for. Everybody reaches the stage in their life where they need to have colorectal exams. Since we have to have them done (if you haven't, you should), might as well go to a highly competent and nice doctor. I highly recommend Dr. Elie Shocket at South Florida Colorectal Institute. The office is on the side street right next to Holy Cross Hospital.
