Mario was awesome! My girlfriends and I had a blast and learned a few things along the way. We were 1st time paddle boarders and Mario made learning fun and easy. Its a must do!

I am a 44 year old male and my son is 16. We went took lessons the Sunday before Memorial Day. Mario was an excellent instructor. My son & I were slightly concerned that we wouldn't be able to stand up because we had both previously tried it without instruction and had failed. Also, I weigh about 245 lbs.and am about 35 lbs. overweight, so I wasn't sure if that would stop me from being able to enjoy the activity... At the beginning of the lesson Mario told us that he didn't think we would fall once---and we didn't(!) Mario was patient and very informative on how to implement the proper techniques of SUP. My son and I can't wait to try it again! I may even take another lesson to continue to rapidly develop my new skills. : )

We didn't realize we should have made a reservation (or at least called ahead) as the boards are not located at the park. No worries though, we arrived at the park and when we couldn't find the rental location we called and talked to Mario. He was not only accommodating to the short notice but was there in 10 minutes and we were on our way to a day filled with fun, adventure and challenge. We paddled for 3 hours. First heading South toward the intracoastal veering off and eventually following Las Olas Blvd West until we couldn't go any further then back toward the intracoastal. The adventure of paddling so quickly to gain momentum so we could hit the deck and coast under the Las Olas bridges on our belly was challenging but not as much so as the challenge of riding the wake of the boat traffic heading back toward the intracoastal. Overall, a relaxing "workout" without hitting the gym. Fun times, we will definitely be back again.
