Our niece started St. Marks one year ago. We have seen an amazing, positive change in her confidence as well as her personality. The staff is very supportive and encouraging. The curriculum is well structured and combines traditional learning skills with modern, fun, creative projects. When she has fallen behind in certain areas, her teachers have been quick to respond and help organize additional help for her. We couldn't be happier with the school.

Be careful and on watch! Our son was singled out and unfortunately we feel our family has been discriminated against! Your son/daughter must be able to learn 1 way - if they need assistance or additional guidance it will not happen. No supervision on the play ground or aftercare. We were invited to a meeting for discussion, but instead of a discussion they had already packed his belongings and left them at the door. Yes, kicked out of 1st grade with only 13 weeks left... This is a very bad place for kids! Be careful!

Our son began his St. Mark's Episcopal School journey when he was in 6th grade. We were fortunate to have had a wonderful elementary school experience, but we were a little apprehensive about middle school. We toured many schools with our son and he told us that St. Mark's was his first choice because it had a "peaceful" environment. We were thrilled that he felt this school was the right fit for him, so we began digging a little deeper into their mission and the middle school curriculum. We were so pleased to see that they offer rigorous academics, including various math tracks similar to larger public and private schools. Whether your child is ready to take on high school math classes or would benefit from some additional resources to support their individual needs, St. Mark's is there for your child. The small class sizes allow for more meaningful class participation and individualized attention. But don't think that just because St. Mark's is a smaller school that they are "small" in terms of what they offer their students. Band and choir are offered everyday by top-notch instructors. Electives provide something for everyone such as coding, digital technology, robotics, golf skills and so many others. Various sports are offered year-round and, based on interest, many offer both JV and Varsity teams, so all athletes have an opportunity to play. Religion classes are held once a week and focus on spirituality, respecting everyone's beliefs, and learning about different faiths and seeing how there is often a more common ground among them than we realize. St. Mark's may be small, but it's full of choices for students to begin searching for their passions. The administration provides frequent and effective communication, so we always know what's going on at school. They are approachable and very visible on campus. The disciplinary plan is fair and clear while student accountability is encouraged and expected. We have always felt that St. Mark's is a safe environment and that the administration would not hesitate to implement disciplinary action, if necessary. The honor code "I will not lie, cheat or steal. I will respect the dignity of every human being. I will respect all property, mine and that of others." It is meaningful, relevant and something we certainly try to live by within our own family. The heart of the school truly lies in every single teacher. They consistently display a passion for teaching, often going over and above to make sure students are learning and growing. They offer weekly help sessions and encourage student-teacher communication. Their classrooms foster active participation and our son has always felt comfortable asking questions, sometimes getting answers wrong and seeking out help when needed. As parents, we could not ask for more. As a student, our son has grown so much because of this classroom culture and the peaceful environment. I would encourage anyone looking for a positive learning environment with highly qualified teachers and administration and great students to give St. Mark's Episcopal School an opportunity to show you how wonderful it really is.

We have been very happy at St. Marks. Both my children started in Kindergarten. Now, my oldest is starting high school and my youngest is in 8th grade. I can't say enough about the school. We love the administration, the teachers, the peers, and the other families. St. Marks is a loving school that does a wonderful job teaching academics, character, and responsibility to our youth.

We love the sense of community at SMES. My daughter is going into 1st grade and she has been there since PK4. She loves how everyone knows her name on campus and absolutely loves going to school. They offer on site aftercare which is great for working parents along with after school enrichments that make my life so much easier. Small classes and a personal experience make this school worth the investment.
