J L Smith Septic Tank

JL Smith was fantastic in completing a septic tank and drain field! They were timely, clean and even removed a tree trunk that had been damaged in a storm. I would definitely recommend and use them again!

Had to get a new tank and drain field installed. Dealt with two other companies before trying to get the job done and they were very flakey. Finally I called Jim. He came out same day, even dug up my grey tank to check if it was still working properly. Within a week, he and his crew were on site and digging the 5ft deep drain field. Such a pleasure to work with. What sets JL Smith apart from the rest: Price was competitive with the market, Jim answers the phone and is very quick to respond, showed up when he said he would and on time, job exceed my expectations and he went over and above what was asked. NOT RECOMMENDED! Buyer's Beware! Does not stand by work. Original house septic tanks and drain fields lasted 52 years. Paid JL Septic $11k for a new septic tank and drain field in 2015 and their work ONLY lasted a year before over flowing and washing out drain field. Actually had other areas in drain field that overflowed. Came back out and added more drain pipes. JL said if that doesn't fix it let him know and he will add more. Had more small leaks throughout the year but didn't report. System lasted appx. another year since repaired last before another big washout. Called several times over the last six weeks and he will not return any phone calls. Secretary said, "He knows we called but doesn't know what to do or how to fix it and that's why he will not call you back."
