        1) bathroom door does not lock so not good for a family with kids 2) bathroom door does not close completely 3) one of the 2 elevators make a screeching noise when it is in motion. I think the please needs better maintenance

        Our sixth year in Fernandina, first at this hotel. It was perfect for a 3-week stay. Breakfast was eh, but all the staff were great. I fell (my fault), fractured my elbow, had to leave early, everyone was so kind and made sure we received our lost-week refund. Will stay again!

        Not too far of a walk to the beach, nice seating areas around the hotel, with a pit fire to keep warm on cool evenings. Rooms are spacious, beds are pretty firm, which I don't prefer. Shower and water pressure are awesome.

        Perfect location, quieter than most hotels Ive been to recently, clean and decently sized. The breakfast selection sucks, nothing is freshly made its all from package or frozen besides the make-it-yourself waffles. I do like the coffee, tea and hot chocolate station at the entrance. This hotel has a small alligator in their pond we named Ali. Theres a small outdoor pool but we didnt visit due to cold weather in March. Pet friendly. *2 complaints, room smelled like farts all night but only on the second night.. not fun and it wasnt us. Haha I couldnt tell where it was coming from. Second, our first room had a constant squealing a/c unit but it was solved by getting us a new room.

      Located on Amelia Island in the city of Fernandina Beach, Florida, Home2 Suites by Hilton is the newest area hotel. We are in walking distance of the beach and several dining options.This all-suite hotel is eco-friendly and pet friendly (size restriction and a fee per pet does apply). Each Suite offers a bedroom area, kitchen & sitting areas and bathroom. Many of our furnishings are made from recycled materials and we use bulk bath products and real dishes to reduce our carbon footprint. The beautiful landscaping comprises indigenous trees, plants and flowers, and our salt water pool is heated only by the Florida sunshine.Our hotel has stainless barbecue grills and a gas fire pit. There are several lighted outdoor areas, perfect for relaxing. On Amelia, see birds and other animals at the Egan's Creek Greenway, Beach and Marsh areas, accessible by foot, bike, or a brief drive. Jacksonville International Airport is 40 minutes away.Complimentary breakfast is served 6 am to 10 am with over 20 rotating hot and cold items. The hotel does not offer shuttle services. You must be at least 21 years of age to book a suite at this location.
