AquaSafe Swim School

I do not recommend this swim school (not a swim school, just private swimming lessons by teachers) to anyone who has minor children. I bought a 10-class package for my 3-year-old to learn how to swim. She was not swimming by the 10th class, so I bought another package of 10 classes. Yesterday I messaged the swim instructor 3 hours before the scheduled class time that my toddler was in the hospital and was not feeling well and if it would be possible to reschedule to another date the following week. She said no problem, she will look to see what day and time they could fit her in. I received a text message at 10PM at night from the owner/coordinator Yaoska Barreto, stating that because I cancelled within their cancellation period policy she is going to charge the class and I would have no credit for it. I explained that my daughter was in the hospital all day and I cant put her in a pool of chlorine. Her response was that she had to pay the teacher for her scheduled time even if she didnt hold the class. In other words, business is business. It is very important to note: I have been extremely accommodating with our instructor, Elda, as she has been running late several times, has gone on vacation during (2) swim classes scheduled, allowed her to bring her granddaughter to my home as she worked because she was providing childcare, which totally distracted my toddler and was a waste of a class, and even changed my scheduled swim dates and time to better accommodate another student at the school, because life is about flexibility. I requested a refund of the remaining classes of the 10-class package I paid for because I would NEVER want to do business with a company that does not care about a childs health. If they dont care about your childs wellbeing, how can you trust them as instructors in a pool to make sure your child doesnt drown? They refunded me the balance of the package but made sure to include yesterdays missed class while my daughter was in the hospital and could not make it to swim, even though the teacher did not work for it. Bad business practice Bad customer service. Heartless human beings. I hope nobody else has this experience.

Carolina was absolutely awesome. My kids completely adored her and she went above and beyond. Aside from doing an awesome teaching the basics of swimming, she also stresses water safety and really worked to make sure the little ones understand how dangerous water is if adults aren't watching.

Our daugther is 19 months and she started with Yaoska last month. It has been amazing to see how much has she progressed in such a short period of time. Yaoska knows what she is doing and how to get results. Highly recommended!

I would recommend AquaSafeSwimmingSchool to all parents.My sons are finally swimming and floating after just completing one package (10 sessions).This life skill is taught by a wonderful instructor, she has patience with the children,flexible and always on time.

Lori has been teaching my child how to swim and it has made a dramatic impact of her ability. She went from just swimming underwater to learning how to float, swim above water and back stroke. She is always on time and reliable. Highly recommend.
