Awesome house for a family getaway! Has all the amenities, and perfect beach access. Could not ask for a better spot on the island.

We had a great time at Dunescape. The view and beachfront was incredible. We found the kitchen stocked and everything clean upon arrival. Could tell owners recently updated decor with a beach theme that the younger ones appreciated. There are some challenges to the property to be aware of. The furniture is dated and the bathrooms could be updated. Nights were hot and barely enough hot water for one shower. Dishwasher stunk terribly we didnt use. Disappointing to find that the plastic lounge chairs out front were cracked and broken. Investing in solid furniture for the deck would be a wonderful addition. We very much appreciated the way the house overhangs the deck just enough to keep it shady, cool and breezy all day. Plenty of seating in the family room and the open concept makes it feel bigger than it actually is. The layout is odd. 2 bedrooms on each end with a bathroom in the middle. Bedrooms are small. Technically it sleeps a lot but if full Id imagine everyone would be on top of each other. Dunescape would be ideal for a family with young children or those who might appreciate the value/budget of this beachfront property. Its cute. You are surrounded by larger homes that hold lots of people; as a result everyday large groups of people were camped out the entire day in front of our deck. If we wanted quiet beach time we had to leave the area we rented. Not what I had in mind for our beachfront property and never a problem I encountered at other places. We didnt have young children but if we wanted to enjoy our view had to endure that time with screaming children for hours on end. We actually checked out a day early. The Island is beautiful. Dunescape has a lot to offer for the right family. Owners seriously need to redo the front stairs. The width is dangerous. After entry we just used the back stairs for the remainder of our stay which was fine.
