Ceramic Matrix has nice products but pathetic business practices. Everything about the order went wrong: (1) We ordered tiles that were scheduled to arrive in 7-10 business days, so we booked a contractor for 3 weeks after the order was placed. Two weeks later, after phoning to inquire about whether the tiles had arrived, we learned that the order had never been placed. (2) Ceramic Matrix then expedited a new order, to arrive within 3 days. When I phoned 3 days later, I was told that it had accidentally been entered as a standard delivery. Ceramic Matrix said that they were now not sure when the order would then arrive and that it was probably "somewhere in the desert" currently. (3) I then asked for a refund of the $100 delivery charges, saying that this would be small goodwill gesture since we now had to pay the contractor for his lost time. I was told by Ceramic Matrix that they would get back to me on this. Not only didn't they, but my credit card was immediately charged the rest of the balance were they afraid we wouldn't pay? (4) By the time eventually arrived, I was already out-of-pocket $700 in contractor costs. I asked again about refunded the $100 delivery costs, saying that it would be nice if we didn't have to pay delivery costs for tiles that twice had not been delivered when expected. I was told by Ceramic Matrix that they would phone me back. (5) Rather than a phone call, I got an email saying that I couldn't be refunded $100. because it was impossible to "go backward into our back office system and reverse charges." For anyone doing business with Ceramic Matrix, watch out.
