What a bad experience. I was referred from my doctor for IBS symptoms. I met with dr. Kaplan he seemed to know what he was talking about. Sent me to take a breathe test and to have my primary send over my blood results. Took the test and called in 2 weeks after, spoke with his assistant, she said he had not yet looked over the blood work but that the breathe test came back neg. received another about a week after saying to take this pill. I asked if it was due to the blood work. She said no it looked good and that they are just waiting on the breathe test results.. I told her I spoke with her last week about the breathe test and it was Neg. she said oh oh yeah, you are good. I asked should I come in for additional tests and she said no just to take the pill. Fast forward 10 days I have to have dental surgery and my dentist says with the pill I was on I had to get permission from the GI before the surgery. Called in spoke with the same assistant and she said "what pill" then she said she was still waiting for me to the the breathe test.. I again told her we spoke 2 times about the breathe test and it was neg. and she said "oh sorry this time I will note it" and then said "the doctor said you can stop taking the pill"... fast forward 3 months later, I get a call from the SAME assistant asking when I was going to get the breathe test done... are you kidding me? These people are so unorganized and I am not even sure if the breathe test was neg or if they even know their ass from a hole in the ground. I could not believe how horrible the office is. He seriously needs to look into a new assistant.
