    I've been a patient for approximately 15 years. My first experience was with Mary Teresa Izzo. She seemed knowledgeable enough so I stuck with the practice seeing all of the doctors in the practice at one time or another without issue. Unfortunately, yesterday, I had an appointment with Mary Teresa Izzo who I hadn't seen in several years. She walked into the room and I said hi, long time no see. It was immediately clear she had an attitude and wanted to just prescribe something for a major sinus infection that they picked up on a CT scan of my brain. They called and told me to take Flonase, which only abates the symptoms. Anyways, back to Mary Teresa Izzo. I had all my prescriptions with me and she said she didn't have time to go through what I needed refills on. I have NEVER been mistreated so badly by any professional, much less my doctor. I know the ARNPs and PAs get paid on commission so they want to get to as many people as possible so they make the most money. However, they apparently have forgotten the oath they took about compassion, at least Mary Teresa Izzo has. I will NEVER go back!

    I will change this rating to a 5 in a heartbeat if it was my insurance plans fault that I had a bad experience with my insurance for 3 out of the 4 years I kept my doctor but changed insurance plans.. the insurance broker that I spoke with would have put me with a different company than this one that actually had better incentives and stuff but I wanted to keep my doctor so I chose a plan with good coverages for dental and a decent allotment but quite a bit lower than most were giving for 2024... Guess I will just have to get to my setting my appointments and finding my doctors on my own and setting up everything and doing everything on my own but I guess that doesn't make any difference because I was already having to do it all anyway and so much for chronic care nurses because they weren't coordinating... And the patients have not ever received a primary like a physician's guide of physicians in their Network doctors because we're not supposed to but we can call and ask that insurance if they will send us one and I have but they change every year and they don't send us a physician's directory but we have to find and with chronic Health Care problems that makes it most likely much more stressful and to kill us early because of all the stress because added stress on top of chronic Health Care problems and not knowing how to do what we're doing because we're not insurance people we're regular people... we customers /patients aren't the professionals getting paid the chronic care nurses and the doctors & staff are.

    Just reading the patient reviews since I'm looking for a good primary doctor in Deland, I have to say with all the negativity I just read about this place concerning doctors and customer service I wouldn't waste my time or money! Not that many reviews but almost all were really bad!!!! Way too many for a business in any medical field!!!! People just don't need the kind of aggravation I read about! One thing really got me was they obviously don't know how to schedule....telling patients they can't see them for 3-4 months and then calling them to reschedule another month out!!! You got to be kidding me! If you need a dependable doctor, you could die waiting on these people! Should change the name to the worst incomplete health care facility!!!!

    Please read all of the new one-star reviews and take them seriously. I have an elderly parent who has been trying to get a call back for five days. Apparently, this office was once great but has changed hands. We encountered curt and confused medical staff, disorganization, and a complete lack of follow-through. We are working to change offices immediately. 12/13 UPDATE: We received a phone call from someone with Complete Health, but not for the reason youd think it was because of this review. Please dont let the comment below fool you. This issue is not resolved. 12/15 UPDATE: Increased to 2 stars. They are now returning calls.

    12/11/23 UPDATE: Went to my appointment tonight . I was called earlier this afternoon and told I should be there at 5:00 instead of 5:15. I was there on time pre-registered. There was still a problem. My husband upgraded our insurance and Stephanie was no longer my doctor according to the front office worker. I never changed Stephanie Stovall as my primary pcp. Apparently I have to call member services on the back of my insurance card and tell them I want Stephanie as my PCP . So this appointment could go no further because of this issue that I had no idea I could even have. I never wanted any other PCP. I feel like I'm being lied to ! I was offered another appointment tomorrow at 10:45 a.m. I'm sorry my appointment was today . I think I'm going to need to refer this to an attorney See Yelp! My doctor is Stephanie Stovall. She's great but the staff is just horrible!
