My father passed away in New Orleans recently, we had to drive his car back to Florida just after his passing when his transmission went out in DeFuniak at 8:30pm. Ray not only picked up the phone at 8:30pm but came and met us at the truck stop and guided us back to his shop. We have the car back now and seems to be running fine, my husband is a mechanic as well so hed know better. All in all, I couldnt be more thankful for Ray. Service: Transmission

Our class A RVs transmission broke down close to Defuniak Springs FL. on a Sunday afternoon in our trip from California to Tampa Florida We called several towing companies and one that answered offered us to tow us for about 30 miles for $2,000 dollars! We found Rays shop online and called him. He answered even though he was in the middle of teaching his daughter how to drive! He came to us and did the impossible and towed us to his shop with his own truck. We spent the night at his place in the RV. One week later, as he promised, the RV was all fixed. Besides the transmission he had to look around for the emergency brake that also went bad. The price was super reasonable, he was always helpful and reachable by phone no matter what time it was. He reached us afterwards and asked us if we made it home all right. From begging to end he was a blessing to us. We Highly recommend him.

I took my truck to Blairs to have my transmission rebuilt. His price seemed fair and seemed to know transmissions. A week after I got my truck back, I had to take it back for transmission problems. He said he reprogrammed the computer. A couple weeks later, while out of town, my exhaust fell apart. He had cut my exhaust in half instead of unbolting it and tried to weld it back together. He did not mention he was going to cut my exhaust or I would have taken it elsewhere. This is just poor workmanship. He is definitely not a welder. After letting him try to reweld it, week after week, I had to finally pay someone to weld it correctly. 8 months into his 12 month warranty, the transmission started slipping. I called and was told he would call me back when he had time. Now a month or so later, I still have not heard from him. I had to take it to another transmission shop to, once again, have the transmission rebuilt all while still under Blairs warranty. So it cost me roughly $6500 after Blairs rebuilt my transmission to have the job done correctly and to have my exhaust fixed. Update; the other transmission shop had no problem unbolting the exhaust (as this is part of repairing/replacing transmissions). Using an excuse that the bolts were rusty, all exhaust bolts are rusty. And saying he tried to "repair" it at "no charge"? He cut my exhaust in half and wants to act like he did me a free favor by trying to fix his mistake? It cost me money to have his mistake fixed. Blairs is now guessing at my mileage as he still has not seen my truck because he still has not called (two months after I called him for warranty work). I was still under the warranty mileage when I notified him I had the "shudder" back a month before it started slipping. Again, still never got a phone call back to get it repaired. If I could post pictures of his shabby work and the expense I've inquired to have his workmanship fixed I would. I have a list from the other shop of mistakes (missing/stripped bolts, wires plugged in wrong, wiring harness wasn't reconnected to bracket, ect). My check engine light was on when I got it back from Blairs. Come to find out it was due to him plugging the O2 sensors in backwards. This was a total nightmare that cost me in the long run. Water pump went out on interstate. Ray had me back up and running in less than 24 hours. Very reasonably priced and efficient. Ill go out of my way to use Ray if I need anything fixed from now on. My experience was great! Thanks Ray
