Golden Krust Caribbean Restaurant

The restaurant is brand new . Its super clean !!! That is a huge bonus besides the large selection of food. Oxtail with rice and peas was okayish( need some extra time to cook the beef). Not the best ,but the curry chicken and spinach rice was great. Also had plantains and beef patties. All fantastic. I regret not getting one of their juices .Service was good and music of course was great. Highly l recommend.

Tried Golden Krust in Deerfield Beach, because it's close to my house. I spent close to $40, and I was VERY DISAPPOINTED. I ordered the Curry Goat w/peas and rice for myself and the Jerk Pork for my husband. The Goat didn't have any flavor and was dry; my husband's Jerk pork was dry also and had the flavor of bar-b-q and NO spice and the rice was over cooked (sticky and gummy). The only thing that was OK...plantains, cabbage and sorrel. The staff was friendly. Needless to say, I will not patronize or recommend this establishment. I'll continue to drive to east Oakland Park establishment.

This was my first time at this location and let me tell you the it won't be my last. Before I could even open the door an employee opened it for me and greeted me with a smile and hello. Everything was so clean and filled with vibrant colors. I ordered the large Oxtail, aki and saltfish veggie patties(frozen to take home) jerk and curry chicken patties. The food was sooooooo good. Oxtail fell off the bone, gravy was seasoned and rich. The ackee & Saltfish was fresh ave flavorful. And just when you think it couldn't get any better THE PORTIONS AND HUGE!!!!!!! Lastly, I would like to give a special shout out to Theresa. Boss lady was so friendly and kind. Thank you all for a WONDERFUL experience. I will be back.
