My experience here is that the CNAs, nurses and people who clean are almost all kind, compassionate, very friendly and really on top of things. I really liked them. They brightened my day with their smiles and nurturing. I don't know how they do it. On the negative side, many of the people who run the business side of things are loud, combative, and authoritative, so I was forced to assert myself. And they were not tactful in discharging me- when my insurance ran out, I was told to leave the same day or pay $300+ per day, starting that day. I was given conflicting information that wasted my time on a wild goose chase, and only had hours to leave without being charged. The P.A. never came to see me as requested, and in general, when my insurance was done, I felt treated disrespectfully and like I obviously didn't matter as a person at all.The CNAs and nurses treated me great as usual, though. The laundry service is a nightmare with lost clothes and clothes coming back with stains on them. No reimbursement yet, and I was told I needed the receipts. So really beware of your clothes. They also can take up to a week or more to be returned and people get other people's clothes. Saw someone wearing mine. Although the kitchen head does genuinely care, no one I knew liked the food. The facility is not in a good neighborhood, with people walking through that concerned the staff sometimes. It seemed to me that the facility has a challenging budget - my furniture was too old and falling apart, and the facility itself is worn and really shouldn't be as it is. It needs updating badly. The food also looked as though it was stretched and inexpensive. I don't know about other facilities in Daytona, this might be one of the better ones so I don't want to talk anyone out of going, but just sharing my experience.
