Hampton Inn Daytona Shores-Oceanfront

We stayed at Hampton Inn for two nights. It was very nice. I have to say the staff was so friendly the day and night shift. The rooms were nice. Although, you can tell it's a pet friendly hotel. The room attendant provided some needed items right away and was also very nice. The walls are a little thin. You can hear the people if nothing's on. However, you can not beat The View! We had an oceanfront room, and it was worth it to be on the top floor and keep the door open, and hear the waves quite relaxing. I always say the staff makes a big difference, and I would definitely stay there again just because of them. Breakfast was good, and the two girls working during breakfast we're very attentive to resupplying as needed. The kids who were also staying at the hotel seemed to really enjoy the pool and the beach.

Comfortable lobby, where you can buy a coffee or something light to eat, good service and very friendly Nearby activities: Daytona circuit and shopping center very beautiful and elegant

Before COVID this was a very nice hotel. One of the best on the beach. Rooms were good. Breakfast was better than most others. Parking was tight but free. Well that's all changed. We lived near the hotel for over 7 years and always suggested our guest stay there. It's been 10 years since had to stay overnight in DBS. Naturally we went back to our comfort zone. Big mistake. it is no longer the hotel it once was. Sure prices have gone up. that's to be expected. But charging for parking is ridiculous. the breakfast is not what it used to be. Our first day, they were out of most items. no milk for cereal. no syrup for waffles. If you wanted to sit by the pool you better have your own chairs. There were no screens on the sliding doors in the rooms. I would avoid this place as I am sure there are better. My mistake was trusting it was the same as days gone by. Well those days came and went.
