AATC Stay away from this company. Rip off city and sell junk. Had a new unit installed 2014 and had trouble the whole first year with outside compressor breaking down and not cooling. House was 89 degrees. They kept insisting on "fixing" it but it would still break down. I fought long and hard for a new replacement and got it installed in 2016. June 28, 2023 same thing happened. Not cooling and 85 degrees inside. Tech Austin diagnosed it was grounded and too expensive to repair and I needed to purchase a new unit again at $6800. I questioned that it was only 7 years old? And isnt it covered under Warranty? Said no its not worth fixing and would be too expensive to repair and I needed to purchase a new unit. I had no choice and hesitantly agreed because I was sweating and needed relief. When I pursued this with American Standard they said I was still covered under Warranty for the compressor until 2028 and part would have been replaced for free to AATC. So I got screwed by AATC. Horrible rip off company with negative zero customer service and rude employees. No one cares. Run from this company. Just read all the bad reviews and see for yourself. Negative zero rating I give them. Had to call three times since no one returns calls not even so called Office Managers. And when O did speak with Manager her standard answer was "I dont know". Totally useless and of no help whatsoever. Cant get any answers. But I know one thing Im done with this lousy company. Stay far away. Run from thIis company. Worse ever!!!!!!!!

Got sold 2 NEW AC units in June, already not working - either bad unit or faulty installation and ATC CHARGED me $175 for service call - stating not under warranty! Great Ads - lousy customer service and huge rip off! Service: Install AC

My a/c unit started shutting off after only a minute or two before cooling down to the temp on the thermostat. So, I called ATC to setup an appointment based on the great reviews they have on Google. The tech came out the following day and told me that the motor on the blower unit in the closet was bad. I had only installed this unit back in 2015, so it was still under warranty for the parts replacement, but ATC said that they would charge me $799 just for the service to install the item. I paid the $99 trip charge to ATC and decided to shop around, fearing that $800 seemed much too excessive. I called around and found that other companies were in the $350 to $450 range for the same service to install the blower motor. To make matters worst, a tech from another company come out, tested the blower motor 4 times and said that the problem is not the motor... the issue was that the water was not draining properly from the drain pan so the safety switch was causing the unit to shutoff to prevent flooding. The tech simply cleaned the drain pan and drain line and the unit was working fine again. So, I can only conclude that either the ATC tech was inexperienced and didn't know what he was talking about, or was trying to intentionally charge me for an UNNECESSARY REPAIR for more that 2 TIMES the average rate of other A/C repair companies. Regardless, I will NEVER use ATC ever again! Service: A/C system repair
