The guy who answered the phone is straight up nasty and a jerk. He insisted on using aftermarket barged on my car and when I told him I don't want that he hung up the phone on me

"Buyer Beware"!!! Drove all the way down to Coral Springs to buy 2 old cylinder heads that he said came off a 'running' engine. Paid good money for them and he rushed us out of there since he had an appointment.. Quick glance they looked ok, but when I brought them to my machine shop, they told me they both had several cracks along the 'rocker arm" bold holes.. Machine shop said they looked like he marked them with yellow chalk?? He knew they were bad and got me out of there quickly.. Sure I take responsibility for not being observant enough, but when the guy tells me they are fine and they weren't, I hold him responsible for scamming me. Won't return my calls of course...

had work done on my 2000 jeep grand cherokee laredo on 10/4/2016. requested premium shocks to be installed on my car. when i picked up the car the ride didnt feel right. talked to the local parts store . bennet auto supply on sample rd to the manager rob.
was informed the shocks that they installed. did not meet original equipment specks. and were the cheapest available.
not feeling comfortable with them working on it again i replaced them with the premiums myself. which returned the performance of the car to its proper status.
was told by the owner at pops. joe zarem he would figure the amount to be refunded for the substandard shocks and get back to me. when i returned for the refund he refused.
i had also left new wheel lugs to be swapped out on all four wheels. they did not install all as promised . and told me they did.
owner was very a condescending toward me describing me as an idiot and how he would just keep me hanging for the refund . when he did not know i was sitting just outside his office. when he emerged and noticed i had been listening he told me i will not refund your money. (he had the return parts in his possession for the whole day.)

First let me say that I didnt want to react immediately after I left Joes shop . I wanted to wait a few days to reflect on what honestly occurred. The positive: Joe and his crew rebuilt the front end of my 1978 Cadillac Eldorado and properly aligned my tires . This was a big job and they did a terrific job for which I am grateful . To back up a bit , My car had stalled out heading to Joes shop for the scheduled appointment so I had it towed and Joe said hed get it started first . He called and explained that they replaced the distributor cap and coil to get it started . Then he gave me the bad news about the front end needing a rebuild which didnt surprise me . As mentioned above it was an A+ job well done! He also located a AC leak which I brought to his attention and that was fixed perfectly as well. When Joe called he explained all the work was done and that he test drove the car and it ran very well. Upon picking up the car Joe was very pleasant. We had a nice conversation and I told him I was glad to find a garage like his that serviced old cars. He also said everything is under warranty and to let him know if there are any problems. We parted on friendly terms. I proceeded to drive home and long story short the car was not driving very smoothly. It felt as if it was going to stall out at a stop light and then upon the light turning green and me giving it some gas there was a hesitation which also felt like the car would stall. I immediately turned around after getting some gas and calmly approach Joe about the problem and he was visibly upset. Stormed out of the shop with me and took a test drive. Joe angrily and disrespectfully drove the car at high rates of speed . He declared theres nothing wrong with the car when in fact there was. We drove back to the shop and he explained if you want to leave it Ill take a look at it tomorrow. I havent got time now . I could tell he was pissed, and I even brought that to his attention in which he denied it. But I think after spending over $4000 and me being a new customer to boot that he couldve been more caring about me stalling out on the way home and took a look at it no matter how busy he was. I wouldnt have minded waiting for the car just for peace of mind driving the car home . I did make it home safely with one stall out at a stop light .Its too bad that this ruined my experience at Pops garage and left me feeling unappreciated as a new customer.
