GR Aesthetic Institute provided an extremely high quality hands on course in introduction to neurotoxin injection and into to dermal filler injection. The hands on portion with the cadavers was extremely beneficial in providing training in dexterity, needle entry points, etc before injecting on live models. All of master injectors that I worked with during the hands on portion were extremely informative and provided top notch training! Would highly recommend this course to anyone interested in entering the aesthetic industry.

I was torn between Empire Medical Training and Get Refreshed Institute when choosing a program for neurotoxin training. I was concerned that Empire Medical Trainings website strongly encouraged against non physician instructed programs offering botox training. As cosmetic treatment methods have evolved, provider backgrounds expanded from specialists in plastic surgery, then to dentists and registered nurses, followed by licensed aestheticians, unsanctioned medical personnel (e.g., medical assistants), and lay practitioners. As such, the experience and qualifications of injectors in South Florida is increasingly questionable and unpredictable and unfortunately I had to treat multiple patients in the psychiatric setting with clear symptoms of body dysmorphia and poorly executed cosmetic procedures. A large and growing proportion is performed in medical spas, spas, hair salons, other commercial settings, and at "Botox and filler parties" in private homes by non-healthcare professionals, sometimes without written informed consent. That being said, I was impressed that GR advertised natural looking results and offered competitive pricing as well as a CME certification. The course reviewed basic applications for neurotoxins and a hands-on portion on live patient models. Its been over a year since I took the initial course offered, which did not include cadavers, am still waiting to schedule time to shadow an expert injector and perfect the skill and learn how to run a successful business! Hopefully I will be able to collaborate with GR again so I can have an advantage in this highly saturated and competitive industry!
