Dear Management Team of Cafe Margaux, I hope this message finds you well. I am writing to express my concern regarding the pricing of whiskey at your establishment. As a frequent patron of Cafe Margaux, I have always appreciated the ambiance, service, and selection of drinks offered. However, I recently noticed that the pricing of Macallen 18 whiskey seems to be significantly higher compared to similar establishments in the area. When I addressed this to the staff they contacted the manager via phone. After the bar tender hung up the phone, she stated "Thats the price the manager says it is, I am sorry I know that crazy." I was charged $80 for one once of whiskey. This is just unfair and malicious of the manager to not fix the issue and charge this insane markup to a frequent and loyal customer customers and has truly change my opinion of Cafe Margaux. While I understand that pricing can vary depending on several factors, such as the quality and rarity of the whiskey, I believe there is a noticeable discrepancy between the prices at Cafe Margaux and other bars of similar caliber. This has led to a feeling of dissatisfaction among myself who also frequent your establishment regularly. As a loyal customer, I value the experience and offerings provided by Cafe Margaux, but the current pricing structure you have for whiskey is becoming a deterrent. I kindly urge you to review and possibly reconsider the pricing of whiskey to ensure it remains competitive and aligned with the expectations of your clientele. It was a while back, but it was top notch, great for special occasions

Host was rude the moment I entered. I asked if they had availability for 1 for lunch (11:29am) and they asked if I had a reservation. I didn't. They then informed me that they normally recommended reservations, but would make an exception and I was seated. I WAS THE ONLY DINER FOR THE NEXT 20 MINUTES. I ordered the fresh fish special that came with potato soup (not even 1 potato inside) and the absolute worst pasta salad I have ever tasted, VINEGAR STRAIGHT. The blackened fish was actually delicious, but due to the extreme rudeness of the Host, the entire experience was uncomfortable and awful. Not at all what one wants on their weekend away. Please choose another restaurant if you are seeking a pleasant and tasty dining experience. And DEFINITELY DON'T ARRIVE BEFORE 11:30 OR YOU WILL BE "PUNISHED". It's very scary to think about what else they did to my food. Never again.
