Compassionate Care provided end of life care for my dad. Our initial experience with them was less than ideal due to the nurse that was assigned to us. Once we called and requested a different nurse things got much better. I found them very responsive and caring. Of particular note was the care my Dad received from Diana, the aide who came to bathe him, and Luzette, his nurse. Annette, who covered for Diana, was also exceptional. All of them were gentle and caring for my dad and for us.

This company is the worst! Run the other way. They did not meet any of my expectations. I felt completely alone through my mothers dying process and without any support from the nurses. They make you give Morphine and other narcotics to your loved ones. Its supposed to be the other way around. They lied to me saying that I would have 24/7 nurse once my mother was at the stage of transitioning, and no nurse was there. I had to call the nurse to notify her of my moms recent passing while I was holding my mothers jaw closed. The nurse accidentally dialed me back without noticing and I heard her laughing with another person saying today 2 of my patients died, when she realized I was on the phone listening, she said oh sorry honey, and I hung up on her. So unprofessional. She refused to wear a mask around my mother who was stage 4 cancer and immunocompromised. So disrespectful. They didnt even pick up the controlled substance like other hospice companies do since you cannot be holding on to narcotics. They didnt do anything for my mother. I was better off not having them around. They can get themselves in a lot of trouble with the DEA if they find out they allow non medical family members dispense narcotics and leave narcotics behind once the patient has been deceased.

Our experience with this company was short-term, but excellent. The liaison, hospice nurse, and hospice CNA were caring, professional, and informative.

If I could give 0 stars I would. 3 hour response time after calling for an on call nurse to evaluate a stroke is a joke when were not allowed to call for an ambulance until compassionate care comes to evaluate their patient before the hospice will cover an ambulance call. 3 hour response time because the secretary didnt verify the number we gave her and after trying to reach us at the wrong number she took down just decided to give up trying to call us instead of calling the number on the patient profile. Told us he had 4-6 more weeks of life and refused to authorize end of life care despite incontinence and no eating/drinking for 10+ days. Absolutely 0 help moving him to an end of life facility and forced us to completely change hospice companies due to negligence and lack of help in keeping him comfortable and living with dignity in his last week of life. After switching to a different hospice company on a Friday Morning, our grandfather passed in less than 60 hours despite our compassionate care Nurses evaluation that he would last 4-6 more weeks. Even better? Come to find out the nurse never had my grandpas elderly wife sign off on any notice that she ever came the the house to visit. Just left without signature confirmation of any visit. The malpractice in this company is disgusting and theyll blame it on short staffing. Do your loved ones a favor, steer far away from this company. Choose C*rnerst*ne hospice care
