Downtown Pizza Sports Bar and Grill

Although the service was great, the food was terrible. I ordered a burger and tots and to my disappointment it was a nothing I expected. A medium burger burnt. How you do that, every bite charred, then the tots noticably cooked hard. Not recommended.

This original post was from a couple of years ago. My husband and I now frequent this establishment. We ate there last night and cant stop talking about how much we love the food. We are Chicago natives and we never cared much for ny pizza. We are now turned and agree that downtown pizza has by far the best pizza we have ever had anywhere ever. We are in our fifties and have had a lot of practice so this is a bold statement! Kudos to the staff and to the owners they know what they are doing!! Great food, clean, good service, and perfect atmosphere! Third visit (in 2 months of finding this gem) and have had the chicken parmigiana sandwich, garlic knots (omg- so good) pizza and chicken strips- all five stars! Add a beer of your choice served in a frosted mug, your favorite game showing on one of the many tv screens, and you have a perfect afternoon and or eveningand if your feeling competitive, throw in a game of digital golf- super fun for both the skilled and the not so skilled players We have officially found our favorite place!
