Residence Inn by Marriott Cape Canaveral Cocoa Beach

Overall two room suite was spacious (two bedrooms, living area, two bathrooms, and kitchen/dining area. My issue was sofa bed. It was terrible - mattress appeared to be wrong size (small) and beat up. I understand its a sofa bed but the mattress and springs were very uncomfortable. Luckily for my granddaughters it was only for one night. Walkability: Close (one mile) walk to port restaurants (seafood). Noteworthy details: Very close to port for access to cruise lines.

We got a beautiful apartment here for a good price. We only had one night on our way back to Miami.

My family at I stayed at this Hotel on March 12, 2024. I booked online, but once I arrived I couldnt find my debit card, so I asked if I could pay with my credit card instead. The front desk clerk said I could & he ran my card no problem. The night manager was great!! The next day, I located my debit card in my vehicle, only to find out an hour later that I had still been charged on that card as well. I contacted the hotel & spoke with someone about both cards being charged & funds being held on both. I also expressed that I was on vacation & set aside a certain amount for hotel expenses. I was told that funds had been released, however they had not. I was told I would have to wait 3-5 days for my money to be put back into my account which completely intervened with my trip.The guy said he would transfer me to the General Manager, he did she didnt answer I left a message about 10 AM & STILL no call back. I called again & asked to speak with a manager about 6 PM & was told that everyone had left for the day. I asked them to contact the on call supervisor, the lady told me she could not contact anyone, & considering that Ive worked for Marriott in the past I knew it was a lie. When I expressed to her that I knew she could, she then stated she would txt someone. I asked if I could be accommodated for the night due to them places holds on both my cards & she flat out said theres nothing they could do. This was such a huge inconvenience, if I did not have anymore money me & my kids would have been sleeping in a car 13 hours away from home so thankfully I came prepared. No one offered to waive parking fees or anything for the inconvenience, I would bluntly told they would not assist. Very disappointing, unconcerned, does not take accountability for their wrong doings! If you stay here please check your charges prior to leaving!!
