Elevate a Salon by Ronda Hooper

Ronda has been doing my hair for years. I was so excited for her when she finally got her own salon, a couple of years ago. She has some of the sweetest people working with her. I highly recommend her and/or her associates for all of your hair care and skin care needs.

Staff is very kind and the results they provide are excellent. Artificial red is very difficult to do well and Savannah executes it perfectly.

Ive never been treated with such disregard in a hair establishment until now. Being new to this area I went to this salon for the small town feel. Received a phone call 4 days after spending $235.00 from the owners help to rudely accuse me of making the owner run late. That she would not continue to do my hair. This was shocking and hurtful, at best. My mother died Sept 13th and Nov 4th was my second visit for full highlights. At no time did I do or say anything that was impolite. I did question the price and commented I didnt want to pay $200 every 6 weeks. I feel 100% certain not wanting to spend this high amount or the increase which is coming the first of the year, is the reason I was not wanted as a client. This is a new salon from someone who has been in the industry a long time.The prices are full service salon prices without the advantages of a full staffed salon. Perhaps if this owner had a assistant who helped her with answering the phone and shampooing her schedule would go smoother. It was incredibly unprofessional and I dont recommend this salon based on the level of stress and pressure to keep this business afloat. I am very empathetic to small business owners trying to make a living but how I was treated goes against being kind or considerate. A professional business wouldve found a better time of the day to schedule my appointments that differed from when her help left to pickup her son making her run behind. Respecting client safety would be helpful also when in her chair. Proper boundaries are important and other clients shouldnt be allowed to intrude during the allotted appointment. I wish this business well in their future endeavors. At some point one should understand do unto others as you would have them do unto you.
