It's good i think. Like the food. Probably not clear water though. It's hard to find clear water on this side of Florida. There's a gift shop there, with skim boards. You can't go skim boarding there though .

Anna Maria island is EVERYTHING you could possibly hope for in a day at the beach and was voted #3 on Trip Advisors Top 10 Islands in the US! This magnificent barrier island is one of our favorites on the Gulf side of Florida with its 7 miles of unspoiled white sandy beaches, calm clear waters and the laidback living. The island is extremely clean and a wonderful option for families with public restrooms, concessions, rentals, playgrounds, picnic areas, restaurants, water sports and even a pier. Left mostly untouched, the beautiful beaches have sea grass, palms, untouched trees, small sand dunes and an abundance of wildlife. The entire island is a bird sanctuary with Osprey, Seagulls, Pelicans, Cranes, Herons, Sandpipers and migratory birds. Anna Maria island is definitely more laid back than many of the over commercialized tourist traps in Florida. There are ZERO chain restaurants, fast food chains or big box retailers like Walmart - just a Publix grocery store. Can I get a hallelujah? Theres low key nightlife in the form of live music, pubs, open-air patios, cafs and even a dive bar. For restaurants, boutiques, galleries, surf shops, desserts, and gift shops, Pine Avenue has you covered. Theres fishing on the pier, sunset dolphin tours, guided tours of the island and bike and kayaks rentals available. Scotts Deli is a popular place for breakfast and lunch sandwiches that offers free delivery on the island. Theres a free trolley that spans the entire length of the island from 6:00am - 10:00pm in 20 minute intervals. Rather than renting a vehicle for your island stay, you will find many visitors cruising around on Golf Carts, Bikes or little Gems cart cars that are much easier to park. Pros: The sunsets are absolutely stunning! The crowds are much smaller with more space to spread out and enjoy the beach. Cons: Beach parking is extremely hard to come by and the island traffic can stack up around meal times, so plan to go early or late
