It was difficult to admit that I needed a professional to speak to. Makahala was warm but firm. She met me where I was. view myself as very macho so her getting me to see things that I had refused to acknowledge and heal from was very transformative and freeing. I feel so much more life and energy is in me. My appointments were confirmed by the General (Mary) and the texts so I didnt miss any and it was always easy to communicate with the office. Thank you General. I 100% recommendation this office to anyone who wants better mental health healing.

Makahala is the best! I feel so heard, and understood during my sessions. I never feel judged, or like a burden when speaking to her. The idea of therapy can be very nerve wrecking but Makahala made me feel so comfortable from out very first appointment. She greets you with a huge smile every apt. Her energy and spirit is so soft and nurturing and was exactly what I needed. She has helped me so much in looking at things in a different perspective, and learning how to deal with day to day life as well, identifying my triggers and healing and understanding the traumas I have experienced. Mary is also a sweetheart, the first person you speak to when booking your apts she sets the perfect tone of what to expect when coming to MH Cares. If youre not sure if you should come here trust me you should. They are amazing team.
