If you want a doctor who will listen to you, and truly cares, go to this doctor!!! These days doctors just want you to get in and get out. He doesnt do this!!!

This office is extremely, I mean extremely, difficult to communicate with. They NEVER answer the phone and never return calls. Furthermore they charged me an office visit just to get results of blood work that I could have received over the phone if they would ever answer.

He knows nothing about endocrinology! He couldnt even answer any questions!

I've been a patient of Dr. Mellman's for about a year. I see a few Drs throughout the year for various reasons. This past year my main health concern has been my diabetes which has been out of control with an A1C 10-11. Besides the medications provided by Drs I must adapt my behavior which most know is the most difficult "pill to swallow". I'm committed to doing so via a dietician Dr. Mellman has recommended. The purpose of my great review is because Dr. Mellman never uses shaming as a way to help each patient to reach their goals. He may be in the exam room quickly however, his ability to scan records in a split second, support each patient, and somehow make a personal connection with a side comment (when I mentioned my age or somesuch without even glancing at the computer screen he said "I'm 15 months behind you so" ...indicating he's a bit younger than me which was pertinent to the conversation during my visit. For anyone reading this review this far, I might suggest that you do not deny yourself or the doctor the truth especially when it comes to your diet = your LIFE! One should trust any and all of your doctors. I trust Dr. Mellman and his staff 100%. His aside about age took all of two seconds yet to me it means he's aware of me as an individual not just a Medicare #.

Been trying to call for 2 days now to get my transcripts faxed over to my other doctor as Ive moved cities and had to go to a different specialist. I called 2 days in a row left two voicemails with no response. I called again today 2 more times in the morning and at 4pm and they have an answering service that said they cant help me because theyre an answering service.
