Incorrect Profile

We went for a (paid) consult because a lactation consultant told us it would relieve breastfeeding issues. By the time we went to the appointment, the issues went away altogether and its going great. But the dentist found ties in the exam and told us to go home and think about when wed like to get them fixed because they will eventually cause other issues if we dont. It was a little emotional (my daughter was a week old and watching her be examined was hard) so I forgot to ask them to make me a copy of the written assessment form I watched her and the assistant fill out. Ive called and called and each time the receptionist tells me that she can send me the assessment and once she asked who I was going to show it to. I told her I want to review it. She never sent it and told me shes waiting on the dentist for her authorization. This is a reasonable request: I paid for the consult - almost $400. Its also a record Id like to keep. But why would that matter? Is the dentist afraid of me showing it to my pediatrician or another dentist? That seems strange and unprofessional and got me looking into ties and why its become so prevalent in recent years. Im questioning whether or not they ever have to be fixed. Its been 3 weeks of me asking for it and still nothing! Im only trying to make the right decisions for my daughter and it would be helpful to review what the dentist found or discuss it with her doctor.
