My wife and I have been buying houses in Charlotte County FL since 1999. One to live in and several others to consider buying for investment rentals. In every case we hired Mold Inspections of Florida before closing or passing through with a purchase. The best example of the money that they saved me was in an older home owned by a Canadian couple who had to leave for Canada quickly. From what we were able to see we liked the house enough to agree on a purchase price and give them a $3,000 deposit so that they could leave. The Mold Inspections company was then hired to see if there was anything they could see with their equipment that we couldnt. Fortunately for us they found a cracked water pipe under the concrete that was already climbing up behind. a sheetrock wall. We were successfully able to back out of the agreement and our deposit was returned. In another case, following Hurricane Charlie the wind ripped off the solar panels from our roof.The shingles remained and I plugged the holes left behind. A few months later my wife said she could smell mold in the kids bathroom. I couldnt, but I asked the owner of the Mold company to use his special camera to check it out. He found evidence of it in the ceiling. We were able to replace and repair the source. We have been and will continue to use Mold Inspections of Florida in every house we will consider buying as they have always saved us more money than their cost and give us confidence and peace of mind in our decisions to buy or not! Having an allergy to indoor mold and two children with asthma it was super important to me to make sure my home wasn't contributing to any health problems. We had Andrew come and do a mold inspection for us. He was extremely thorough and the report he wrote up was comprehensive. Not only did it give us the information we needed but it also gave us peace of mind. I would absolutely use Andrew's services again and I can recommend him 100% as a trustworthy resource.
