Cottage at North Beach Apartments

Review left by tenant on local FB group: "Sorry for a bit of a downbeat post. **A warning to anyone considering renting at Cottage at North Beach (Atlantic Beach).** I know the rental market is tight right now. We have rented here since April 2020. We have had repeated significant water leaks that cause the fire alarms to go off nonstop as water is inside of them. (We are not the only unit here to have significant water leaks). In June of this year, it was raining in my living room like a shower - the water coming from the fire alarm. We have had at least 3 sets of construction crews here over our time doing major repair work while we live here. I work from home remotely for a company based out of state. I can’t accommodate construction whenever management wants. The leak occurred again on this Monday afternoon during a heavy rainstorm. I couldn’t accommodate the construction crew coming this Friday due to my work schedule in such short notice. At 6pm Friday I was served a lease termination notice despite our rent being current. We are essentially being evicted. It is likely because we want repair work done and can’t always yield to the management’s schedule. My husband is active duty Navy and is deployed on a ship overseas. The management of BluWater/Cottages is kicking out an active duty military family who has been up to date/current on our rent since moving in. Kicking me out while my husband is on deployment throughout the remainder of this year is the lowest of the low and is shameful. My husband is giving so much to serve our country right now and this is how BluWater/Cottages treats us. BTW we are on a month-to-month lease which is why management can terminate it. So be careful if you want flexibility as we did. The management here is disrespectful and are terrible people. While he fights ISIS, BluWater and Cottages at NorthBeach terminate our lease on us"

These townhomes are beautiful and modern. Very spacious with ample storage and closet space. The property is located on Atlantic Blvd and I have not been bothered at all by the traffic. It is in an urban beach area so some noise is expected, but nothing that I wouldn’t deem normal. The string lighting drive and gated community give of an exclusive high-end vibe. The neighborhood is quiet and I’m walking distance to restaurants, shops, the beaches town center and the beachfront. The fenced in yard give pets a close place to go out and the Atlantic Beach Dog Park is next door. The staff at the office which is located at BluWater Apartments in Jacksonville Beach are very friendly and informative. Jennifer helped me and she was wonderful! Max and the rest of the maintenance team are fast and efficient. If you are looking for a place to live and have realistic expectations about living in an urban beach town than this place will be perfect and a quiet oasis from the hustle and bustle just down the street. Definitely recommend Cottage at North Beach.

Drew was so helpful and amazing. Really the entire experience was so seamless and easy. I was informed of everything every step of the way. This has been such a wonderful and positive experience. Reloacting could have been super stressful but Drew helped to make the process a breeze. I am very happy and excited.

Living at the “Cottages” has been great. The property is perfect and in a great location. Located right next to the Atlantic Beach Dog Park it is great for dog owners. It is also walking distance to a few bars and restaurants. All of the neighbors have been friendly and the gated community has always made me feel safe.

Beautiful, modern townhomes. Drew was amazing with the level of service and help. I am not local to the area so his assistance has be invaluable. Looking forward to the next year!
