Inconsistent hours and menu. Often not open when the hours posted say they will be or not serving a complete menu when they are open. Edit since this business thinks customers can send them messages on Google Review: I dont need to contact you to be able to discuss accurate observations in a public space. The way you respond online to criticism shows a lack of professionalism. Ive actually given you more chances than the service you provided warranted because I respected that you had run the food truck and moved up to a brick and mortar location. Ive noticed and been impacted by the inconsistent hours since JUNE of last year and only made a review this month because once again I tried to patron your business and it was closed during listed hours. Ive even seen your business post on Instagram that you would be open at 12PM and then arrived after 12 to find that the lights are still out and no one is even setting up. On another occasion, Ive shown up at 1PM to be told that only some of the breakfast menu is ready, there are no wingettes, theres a 20 min wait on whole wings because the kitchen hasnt dropped any yet, and the sides havent been warmed up yet. Theres no way to describe this but inconsistent.

Been in the area for 2 yrs,,finally decided to try other food than pizza or carry out . The fish is fried hard/crispy perfectly the way I asked , a tad bit salty . My first time having seafood mac n cheese,,it's different and the greens are good as well. Better than other soul food places I've had . Only 4 out of 5 stars due to the saltiness on the fish . Nice size portion,, great quick service,,fresh food ,nd good packaging , the triple mix is OMG AWSOME. I will order from here again.

This is my first dining experience with this business and I went to their Pentagon City Mall location. We live 15 minutes down the road. I ordered my grandmother the fried whiting fish with candied yams and cabbage. I got 8 wings (Caribbean jerk and mumbo sauce) with collards and corn. Two small pieces of cornbread automatically came with the meals. She got the regular sweet tea and I got the soul punch. All of this totaled to about $45. Our experience was disappointing to say the least. I went inside the mall to place a to go order and the staff was very friendly. They were out of many sides, but I went around 4:30pm so I assumed they had a busy day, no problem. When looking at the menu, it was very diverse and looked great, but that was not the case after eating. My grandmother enjoyed her fish, but said shes had better. All our sides were clearly canned and they attempted to spice them up. For a place that is supposed to specialize in wings, it was nothing to rave about. I had hoped the sauces would be better as well. The jerk sauce wasnt even spicy and I have an average spice tolerance. Our food was room temperature and the cornbread was lukewarm. Tea and punch were good, but too sweet for our liking. Needless to say, we unfortunately wont be returning anytime soon. Price regardless, we were mainly disappointed that they were serving canned food as sides. We expected more from a soul food place. Maybe well have to try out their Howard location and hope for better.
