image I expected to receive a bi-weekly delivery on July 21, 2023 of frozen meals. When I did not receive it, I contacted the office in question, only to be told that some woman claiming to be my case manager said to put my account on indefinite hold! I had never heard of the woman whose name was given to me. I had never communicated with her in any way, shape, or form, and I had never been notified that I had a case manager. I was told that she works with the DC Department of Aging and Community Living -- but NOBODY AT ANY TIME notified me that I even had a case manager with that department! I wasted no time; I immediately filed requests for Administrative Hearings with the DC Office of Administrative Hearings against both the so-called case manager and the Department responsible for her meddling in my affairs without my knowledge or consent! Apparently, it's a common practice among departments of the DC government to do such things especially to indigent disabled seniors, always without even considering that the person who is being targeted will be harmed as a result! This may require a civil suit and not just an administrative hearing; it smacks of fraud in the worst way! I have notified them not to attempt to contact me or I will file charges of harassment both to the local police and to the FBI -- and I have done such in the past when necessary! Much to my sorrow, this sort of incident is not atypical in DC, which is why I am organizing to vacate the District as soon as possible. As a published writer, I will feel much safer residing out of the clutches of the DC government when I write up a very truthful and revealing expos that residents of the District may endure if they make the grave error of relocating here!

image I went to the Department of Aging for assistance five months ago this June. A Mr Plathon Watson led me on to believe Id get assistance. He lied. Now I'm 5 months behind in rental assistance and electric bill is now $1073.05. He refuses to even reply to my pleas to answer my emails/text messages.

image I have received excellent service from the department. They have responded within minutes of my inquiries. The Department appears to be extremely well run pulling up my call record immediately and then following through the request for service. Both my Social Worker and her supervisor, Ms Sullivan are to be commended!
