My experience was truly life changing. The ladies (Joie, Jenny, and Cynthia) were absolutely amazing. I dont think I have ever seen myself in this light before. I am so excited with the outcome and was shedding tears of joy. Highly recommend and will be back in the future.

I'd been considering doing a boudoir shoot for a while, and a special from Silk & Lace made me finally take the plunge. I'm so glad I did. My overall experience was amazing. I appreciated that there was a lot of communication and support leading up to shoot because I had never done anything like this before and was pretty apprehensive. Additionally, the actual shoot was phenomenal and everyone I worked with was incredibly welcoming and put all of my nerves at ease. Amanda (the photography assistant) was the first person I encountered. She was so helpful and made sure I was comfortable. I also found it impressive how easily she anticipated the needs of my photographer, Jenny, throughout the shoot. They worked incredibly well together. My hair and makeup artist, Joie, was so fun and had great energy. It really was the best way to kick off the shoot and I felt so good after she finished up with everything. Finally, Jenny was an incredible photographer. I was so worried about posing and my pictures looking staged, but she really took the time to show each pose first (with very simple instructions to follow), which was very helpful. I never felt rushed. And she got some really amazing shots. As a whole, they all hyped me up and made me feel so confident and sexy. Truly a great experience. Even my reveal session was amazing from a customer lens. Cynthia showed me my pictures and was so patient while I tried to narrow them down. She gave helpful advice when asked, and I left feeling like I had a solid set of pictures picked out (though it was hard to narrow them down because there were so many great ones). I cannot recommend Silk & Lace enough!

Misleading Pricing Leaves Sour Note My recent boudoir photography session promised fun and empowerment, but fell short due to unexpected costs and contractual ambiguity. The experience itself was enjoyable, thanks to a talented photographer and makeup artist. However, the excitement turned to disappointment when I learned that access to digital prints came at a staggering price, not mentioned in the contract. The lack of transparency regarding image access, deletion policies, and pricing left me disheartened and unable to justify the expense. While the session was fun, the hidden costs overshadowed the experience. In the future, I urge others to thoroughly review contracts and clarify pricing details before committing to similar photography sessions. Reply: I cannot treasure my images for years to come because you informed me you would be deleting them since I would not pay the $2,100 for 10 digital images (with the $350 print credit). I encourage you to look back at your email correspondence with me. I did before writing this review, and of the 10 emails sent to me, none of them included pricing of the digital images. It is also not mentioned at all in the contract I signed. I sincerely hope I am the exception and others do not have a similar experience.

When I tell you I wish I could be best friends with the women I got to work with during my shoot, I mean it!! I had my shoot in February of this year and had never done anything like this before but Jenny, Joie, and Amanda had me smiling and laughing before the cameras even came out. I shared with them that my motivation for doing this shoot was to reclaim my sense of self when it came to my body and intimacy in any sense, and I could tell that they kept that in mind the entire time, ensuring that I felt that I had agency and control over myself and my body the entire time and it made the experience that much more healing. I got to meet Cynthia at my photo reveal and she just continued the comfortable and fun vibe that I had from my shoot as we went through my photos. If anyone ever asks me if they should do a Boudoir shoot, I will tell them YES, and if they ask me where? You can bet Ill be recommending Silk & Lace

Hi Agata. I'm sorry that things turned sour for you at your Reveal Session when it came to pricing, especially after you started out exclaiming how incredible the experience was and how happy you were with everything. Our prices should in no way have felt staggering or unexpected to you, as we make it clear several times in the lead-up to all our clients’ shoots that it’s important to review our Pricing Guide well in advance (verbal reminders as well as the pricing guide included in multiple emails leading up to your shoot). We also make it very clear about not being able to store your gallery indefinitely, and that the Reveal Session is your one opportunity to make any purchases (purchasing products or images is always optional). The first time we sent you our Pricing Guide to review was months prior to your shoot, followed by multiple reminders leading up to your shoot because it's so important to us that our clients feel fully informed and don't experience any sticker shock. To say that we have hidden costs or contractual ambiguity is simply inaccurate. All of the information was shared with you. However, I’m still sorry that you were left feeling blindsided and thus, disappointed. We never want things to end like that. Despite your feelings of frustration toward us, I hope you’ll treasure your beautiful images for years to come. All the best. –CAdditional Reply: Agata, it was highlighted in an email that your gallery of images couldn’t be guaranteed past your scheduled reveal session - that’s because we are unable to store our clients’ galleries indefinitely (which is a pretty standard practice). The reason none of the emails we sent you included the price for 10 digital images is because that was not and is not a standard offering. We made that option available to you as a courtesy outside of our standard package offerings. Our standard menu of products and prices was made available to you at the beginning of our process of working together, and reminders were given throughout the experience. We’re truly sorry you weren’t satisfied with your experience.
