Great experience. Elena knows her way around curls. I'll post some pictures of before and after soon. I usually wait 3 days for the final result. But already today I see the magic. I can only recommend this salon to all curly haired people who want to have an easy to tend cut!

So I will start out by saying Elena is very nice and professional. She obviously cares about her clients. She did talk with me a lot about the cut before we got started and asked for pictures. I was optimistic because she had a lot of reviews from a diversity of clients. But I think she just may not be as equipped to work with folks who have 3C or any type 4 textures or those who have multiple curl patterns. I went in asking for a simple cut - add some layers and bangs to my hair , which was basically all one length. I wasnt afraid of cutting a couple inches off the total length and understood top layers may need several inches to give a layered effect. But I told her very clearly that I wanted to keep much of my length and explicitly that I didnt want short hair. Well my hair went from being at my lower back when wet and below my breasts/my bra strap when fully dry to now being well above my breasts when wet and barely at my shoulders when dry. It took me forever to grow out my hair and Im now back at square one and tbh I dont even like the cut! All my friends and family are shocked. I dont think dry cutting hair works on all types of hair, especially when you ask folks to come in combed out and dried with no product in hair. My curl patterns and shrinkage dont fully appear unless my hair has moisture in it (ie leave in or curl cream) so she was cutting it based on looser curls in some areas and my under hairs in which the curls are super tight. I believe she cut to match those underneath curls , which just doesnt make sense on my type of hair. She assured me that she didnt cut much and tried to show me the amount on the floor as proof. I think in part she was nervous because as she diffused it she realized how short it was. But when the cut pieces are curls what looks like 1/2 inch is really an inch or more. Its very apparent she cut at least 4 inches. I dont think she accounted for shrinkage. Im 2 weeks in and am having a hard time styling it. It just looks awful. Im having to twist up the top because the bangs dont lay right whether parted down the middle or with side part. While I will say the layers are ok , it definitely doesnt reflect any of the pictures I gave her on top of being much shorter than desired. It just doesnt look stylish at all. She may be good for wavy or lightly curly hair but Im disappointed and dont think its worth it for those of us with very curly hair (especially at over $200).
