Led by the esteemed Dr. Gerald Martin, this team of dental artisans had the remarkable ability to transform my challenging dental situations into reasons to smile. After decades of disappointment with various orthodontists, I found myself at the doorstep of Elite Prosthetic Dentistry in Bethesda, feeling like I had reached the end of the road. Little did I know that this would mark the beginning of a transformative journey. My dental woes began at the age of 20 when an unfortunate accident led to the bonding of my front tooth and lower teeth with resin. That repair lasted an incredible thirty years, then spiraled into a disaster. Foolishly, I allowed my regular dentist to attempt to re-bond the tooth. I bit into a soft roll five days later, and the new bonding fell off. So, I allowed her to try again. She shaved the Injured tooths edge a little bit more each time. Without asking, that dentist decided to grind down the neighboring front tooth to match the now-shortened damaged tooth. I was horrified. A week later, the repaired bonding fell off again anyway. So, I changed to another local dentist, who gave it a third grind and bond. That one remained in place, but, as one might imagine, it was a sight. I didnt like smiling; I was hesitant to open my mouth. Additional complexities compounded these challenges: a genetic lack of upper lateral incisors and the use of Invisalign to address hereditary gaps. By the time I reached fifty, I had lost faith in local dentistry and knew it was time to seek the expertise of the best in the business. Everyone at the practice is friendly and welcoming. I had to have extensive work done and they patiently helped me through the process. They also went out of their way to provide accommodations for unrelated medical issues that make dental work difficult for me. Nobody actually likes going to the dentist. But the folks here will make the whole process much more bearable. I absolutely recommend them if you're looking for a new dentist, or if you're shopping for a second opinion (that's how I found them) for complicated or scary procedures.

I have been seeing Dr. Marlin for over 20 years. He takes great care of my teeth - ultimately preventing my needing future procedures. When needed, he thoroughly explains his recommendations and course of action. He is very professional, and his staff is friendly. You can trust Dr. Marlin to diagnose problems, make you feel comfortable, and take care of your teeth!
