We've had two children at BH Georgetown from 2015-2022 from infant through preschool. Evaluation is all about perspective. BH has the advantage of scale: tested, well formulated health and safety processes and the financial resources for consistent stability. Things like facilities and technology were near or at best in class. They navigated the pandemic better than most other childcare providers, closing last and opening up first. Our children were always safe, well nourished, provided with stimulating activities, and treated with respect. The staff were flexible and never clock watchers if parents were a few minutes late due to a terrible commute. At the end of the day, our family had very little anxiety about whether our kids were in good hands. No childcare center is perfect and there are surely areas for improvement. If it were my call, more consistent staff-parent communication on administrative details (not details about the childcare itself) would probably be one of the few items. The other area is leadership retention. Over seven years, we've had at least six different site directors (more if you count interim directors). Georgetown is a tough location for commuting (no Metro stop, terrible traffic) and the corporate team should think hard about creative incentives to get directors to stay for longer than a couple years. But, again, perspective is everything and those issues never encroached on safety, professionalism, or solid early educational stimulation for the kids. Keep in mind how utterly challenging it is to take care of a classroom of infants, toddlers, or preschoolers all day long while keeping each one safe and cared for. That will make you reconsider sweating the small stuff. Overall, I think parents will be happy with their experience here. Just come with a focus on the health and happiness of your child.

Calling the day of a reserved spot for your child and telling you they cant take your kid is beyond being unprofessional. Reservations were made months in advanced. This is such a joke I wish they had negative stars.
