My family hired Vanessa Carpenter Lourie approximately 2 1/2 years ago to help us with a TOPA case in our childhood home in Wash, DC.  This case became very long and ugly.  It involved many individuals and was extremely complex.  Vanessa was our guiding light through this mess with her professionalism and integrity and her staff was wonderful.  If you need someone who will guide you through a complicated, frustrating ordeal, she will certainly do it.  We owe her a great deal more than money for what she did for us.

Vanessa Carpenter Lourie and her team provide excellent service, I am extremely happy we did business together. Five years ago I became involved in a housing-related case and Vanessa stuck by our side every step of the way. Vanessa is the best lawyer in DC! She was referred to me 5 years ago when my friends and I realized that we were being discriminated on by our landlords. Throughout our 5 year lawsuit, she provided the right amount of guidance, allowing us to feel protected and in control.  Her oral arguments were calculated and he written briefs were works of beauty. You can tell that she majored in English undergrad.  Her intelligence and confident demeanor make her force. No matter how many lawyers are sitting on the other side of the table, their sum doesn't compete with Vanessa's abilities. I have no doubt that she was the best lawyer in DC for us! Every time I walked in court with her I felt protected, informed, and more powerful. You can tell she is well respected in DC amongst lawyers AND judges. She's a fierce leader amongst the legal community and someone that you want to have on your team! You don't want to go against a team that retained her.
