The Shawmut Apartments

Living at Shawmut has been a really wonderful experience, been here for 6 months. Well-maintained, and management is very responsive. Location couldn't be better, love the park right across the street. I'm never moving.

You wont find a more homelike building and community at this price point in Washington DC Its also super pet friendly with no pet fee/pet rent, management is super responsive on maintenance requests, and did I mention I love the community and Sharon and Jose do their very best to foster it? Had to leave because of a work move but Im going to miss this building so much!

The people are great, the price can't be beat, and you'll never want to leave the neighborhood. Also, Sharon (the building manager) is a queen, will work for you, and you'll be lucky to have her in your life. Seriously, if you don't need the full-stack amenity list of the glitzy apartment buildings around town, this is the one and only apartment building you should consider.

Absolutely loved living here. Building is great, full of really nice people. Sharon, building manager, is SO HELPFUL with anything / everything. Jose, maintenance guy, is awesome and really nice. Anything that needs fixing gets taken care of really fast. Was there during Covid, was great the building did everything it could to keep people safe. Great place for dogs. Great neighborhood.
