St. Joseph Catholic Church serves today

Long time ago one of my family members was a priest here at St. Joseph Catholic Church. Times visiting Delaware from Washington DC stayed with family in residence next door. Attending quite a few masses and events. Sometimes Catholic Bishop would be in attendance. Although this was many years ago I do have some fond memories growing as a kid attending mass here.

Sunday 10 am is an amazing mix of Catholic faith and African-American Gospel music. Homilies from pulpit are very heart felt and memorable. Dont be surprised to hear confirmation and Amen from the congregation. St. Joseph on French St., Wilmington is not the same as President Joe Bidens St. Joseph on the Brandywine church. Saturday at 4:30 pm is a phenomenal experience to go to confession face-to-face. Do not be afraid to talk the priest to clear out gray areas in your soul. If you forget how to go to confession, just tell Father you need help to know what to do. Mass is after confessions at 5 pm Saturday. Weekend parking on the street and behind the church is free. Full disclosure: I am the father of my Father. How can this be?

Beautiful church. My husband and I attended a Sunday mass here. The hospitality and kindness of the parishioners caught us by complete surprise. This is the real God's house. Make sure to stop here.

I just had my inaugural Mass there yesterday & today. If you want to come to a church that's VIBRANT & WELCOMING...thus is it! There's ALWAYS good room at St. Joseph's!!
